With guidance and support you will learn to center clay to form a cylinder which is the basis for other shapes. You will learn to add handles to your pieces and use slips and glazes to decorate your work. The goal of the first course is to learn to center clay and form a cylinder. Continuing students work on improving their centering skills and as they become more comfortable with the processs (centering and cylinder making ) they are introduced to other shapes. Classes are small and designed for individual attention so that each student can develop skills in a relaxed environment and at their own pace.
